Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz (JGU) is one of Germany’s top ten leading Higher Education Institutes with a total of 36,000 students in approximately 150 institutes and clinics. Established in 1477, the University’s Higher Education is consists of more than 2,700 faculty members and teaching staff. The University has 11 faculties and is named after Johannes Gutenberg, who brought the contemporary print-maker to Europe.

A special feature of the courses offered by the JGU are the integrated German-French study programs. The study is partly completed at the JGU and partly at a French University and concludes with both: the German and the French University Degree. As a rule, the study is not extended.
